Echinacea Powwow White and Black-eyed Susan in Full Bloom

The hot weather has come early this year in the Florida panhandle and the summer flowers are in full bloom. My Powwow White Echinacea is thriving and putting out many blooms. A year ago we saved several varieties as they wilted in the summer heat at Home Depot. But with a lot of water and love they are thriving and putting out brilliant blooms. I love these hardy perennials and plan on picking up more this year.

I’m still in love with my Black-eyed Susan’s though and this year they haven’t disappointed me one bit. The most striking variety is this Denver Daisy with at least 40 buds and blooms on just the one plant.
